The Moscow region's manor of princes Volkonsky/ Подмосковная усадьба князей Волконских

In the branch of the Scientific library of the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow, Prechistenka str.,21; ph.: 8 495 6373579) on November 27, 2012 the exhibition of painting and soft historycal toys, devoted to the 200-anniversary of the events of 1812, was opened. The idea of the revival of the Russian estate culture (N. Komarova - library director; I. Poutiatine - artist, Ph.D. of Architecture, Assistant Professor of the department of History of Architecture at the Moscow Architectural Institute (State Academy); Senior Researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of the Theory and History of Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts; Y. Lengina - toysmaster) was expressed in the form of exposure picturesque plain air works (watercolors and pasteles), and skillfully executed textile toys (animals and social types) - as attribute of the Classic-Empire style age.

HISTORY of the RUSSIAN ART / ИСТОРИЯ РУССКОГО ИСКУССТВА

At the Moscow architectural Institute a new adition of the methodical manual (the 3rd edition, revised and enlarged,with annexes) on the History of Russian art has been published. It made for the teaching of the third educational standard on the basis of the course of lectures, is reading now by I.Putyatin at the Department of History of architecture and urban planning of Moscow architectural Institute. Extensive old Russian section allows students to learn more about the questions of sinthesis of architecture and other arts, as well as examples of a variety of composite solutions and their connection with the iconography and symbolic content of the works. In the course for the first time introduced examples of joint    cretive work of architects. painters and sculptures, as well as the cover art of the decisions of the Russian residential interior. It's important in the context of contemporary architectural practice.

В Московском архитектурном институте вышло новое издание Методического пособия (3-е издание, исправленное и дополненное, с приложениями) по Истории Русского искусства, составленное для преподавания по третьему образовательному стандарту на основе курса лекций, читаемых И.Путятиным на кафедре Истории архитектуры и градостроительства в МАрхИ

Обширный древнерусский раздел позволяет студентам подробнее изучить вопросы синтеза архитектуры и других искусств, а также примеры различных композиционных решений и их связис иконографией и символическим содержанием произведений. В курс впервые введены примеры совместной творческой деятельности архитекторов, художников и скульпторов, а также рассмотрение художественных решений русского жилого интерьера, что актуально в контексте специфики современной архитектурной практики, характеризующейся заметным центробежным влиянием релятивизма и возрастающим интересом к классическим фундаментальным идеям.

Now, it is 246-th anniversary of the United States of America. Every day the US citizens are working in science, culture, industry, politics, architecture, paiting, music, US Army, etc. By one word - all of them are builders of Democracy building.

Education in the USA today. "Invest more in education" - says Barack Obama

There're many ideas about higher education in Russia. And the new one is to cut the nomber of higher schools  in order to increase real wages for higher school teaches. Future will show to us - is this way correct. But let us look at the higher education problem in the US today (by CNN):

"Nothing more clearly signals what you value as a state than the decisions you make about where to invest," Obama said. "Budgets are about choices, so today I'm calling on all of you: Invest more in education, invest more in our children and in our future." - US President Barack Obama (CNN).

Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama told U.S. governors attending a luncheon Monday that they are cutting too much funding for education and need to make reforms while continuing to invest in the future of America's students.

While acknowledging the tough economic climate for state governments, Obama cited the need to prioritize the long-range significance of a strong education system.

"We've all faced some stark choices over the past several years, but that is no excuse to lose sight of what matters most, and the fact is that too many states are making cuts to education that I believe are simply too big," Obama told a White House gathering with the National Governors Association that included some of his harshest Republican critics.

In Russia (Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow) the Korovin’s painting exhibition has a great success now.
K. Korovin is well-known with his brilliant talent and rich pictorial colouring. Korovin was a pupil of A.K. Savrasov, V.G.Pryanishnikov, E.S. Sorokin, Polenov.  Such artists as M. Vrubel and V. Serov were among his nearest friends and colleagues. It is possible, that he was upon influence of I.E. Repin, who was teacher of V. Serov. Konstantin’s elder brother – painter Sergey Korovin was person who direct him in his first steps.

K. Korovin is a painter, whos palette was formed also upon his Franch contemporaries influence. Sometimes
he visited Paris, where, while being learning works of ancient and contemporary painters, he thought hard about colour-tint balance in painting. In spite of lightness and brightness of his works, it is widely known, that such impression based upon deep analysis of his own experience, cultural and arts traditions. Korovin’s followers were S.V. Gerasimov, B.V. Ioganson, N.P. Krimov. We may consider them as the founders of the Korovin’s Scool, which works today too.
Konstantin Korovn leaved a lot of works, which are placed in different Russian (and other countries) museums and private collectons.

One of the world known architects, Palladio follower is Thomas Jefferson - the 3-rd President of the USA.
Cultural centre Monticello shows us many-sided Jefferson's talent. Architecture with it's classical vector (Palladionism) is one of the main attractive parts of Jefferson's creative activity.
Jefferson is the founder of Virginia university, where the students not only study to receive education, but can and must become citizens of the USA.

E.V. Putyatin presents new catalogue of his residential building works. Most of them were built in association with engineers R. Batkaev and R. Sabantcheyev in 2000-2012.  In his works E.V. Putyatin is continuator of classical traditions in art (architecture, painting, etc.) which were begun in Russia by our palladionists J. Kvarenghy, N. L'vov. Their influence on Russian architecture such intense, that art-historians (for example look here list of works by A.Nikitina) have many works, where thay are learning different features of their practice.
